Role Summary
This maternity cover role of Account Director is an important part of our Client Services team. It is a senior role responsible for day-to-day leadership of select clients and growth of high-value client relationships. Suited to someone with long-standing agency experience.
You will oversee multi-channel campaigns for clients including sport & lifestyle brands. Aligning communications strategy with business goals, and managing project delivery from brief to execution. This requires a strategic mindset, commercial acumen, confident leadership, the ability to manage and grow budgets, and deliver against realistic project timelines. All while ensuring client satisfaction and profitability.
The role demands a solid understanding of integrated marketing, strong communication skills, a focus on delivering measurable impact through innovative and creative solutions, and a passion for strong creative work. Previous experience of setting budgets, working with the creative & design team and managing third-party production partners is key. Passion and recent experience of working across lifestyle & culture-led creative briefs.

You’ll champion cross-discipline collaboration, and help the team to deliver high-quality results for our clients.
Clients include:
- Sport & Lifestyle Swim brand (supporting & delivery of SS27 campaign shoot & roll out; oversee provision of all assets – retail partners, EMEA toolkit & social media)
- Health & Lifestyle brand (oversee delivery of social, print and digital assets including project management of new website build)
Experience
- Integrated campaign delivery & project management
- Digital & social
- Third-party production management including photo/video production, print and events
- Working across lifestyle, fashion and/or sport brands

Core Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for key clients. Build and maintain strong relationships through clear, confident communication and demonstration of knowledge.
Strategic Leadership
Lead the strategic planning and development of integrated marketing campaigns that address clients’ business problems and meet their overall goals. Collaborating with other experts in the business where required.
Project Management & Delivery
Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality work is delivered on time and on budget by collaborating internally. Work closely with production partners to shape profitable and high-quality results. Actively networking to seek right partnerships. Clear attention to detail across all project management & timely client reporting.

Commercial Acumen
Manage account finances, ensure profitability across all jobs, identify and help the senior team to pursue new business opportunities, and drive account growth within existing clients where possible.
Market & Industry Awareness
Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and market research to provide strategic guidance and ensure Ampersand remains at the forefront as experts to our clients.
Resource
Collaborate with the PR Director & Associate Director to ensure correct resources in place & efficient time management internally.
Salary range
- £55,000-£60,000 depending on experience.
Flexible working
- This is a full-time role, but we are also open to a four-day week for the right candidate.
Hybrid working
- Preferably two days in London office (near Oxford Street) aligned to team attendance, and to help with relationship building & integrated working.
Recruitment process
- First stage interview (virtual),
- Second stage interview (in person at London office),
- Potential third stage interview including a response to a brief to demonstrate knowledge & experience.
Agency experience
- Must have multiple years creative agency experience working with studio & design team.
