Market-leading magazine in the property investment and landlord sector seeks experienced advertising sales professional to develop new business.
We are looking for a (UK based only) advertising sales professional to play a leading role in the development and growth of our print publication, by providing a fresh approach to the role by seeking out new advertisers from all areas of the market including property and elsewhere.
The position would ideally suit someone with publishing sales experience who has the ability to research the market for opportunities and has the drive to succeed.

Key responsibilities
- Effectively manages sales generation by utilising marketing materials, local resources and existing personal relationships
- Builds confidence with potential advertisers by selling them on the benefits of the magazine as a vehicle for their products
- Identifying needs of potential advertisers and matching related solutions
- Be prepared to travel to meet clients and attend trade shows and networking events if required
- Develop and maintain a broader industry and general knowledge of the property market
- Record relevant information resulting from calls made to prospects/customers
- Generate lead lists of appropriate businesses to approach

Skills and experience required
- Experience of working in either property, sales industry or publishing sector
- Related degree a bonus but not essential with a proven track record in sales
- Able to build relationships and deliver sales in a target driven environment
- Use initiative to thrive under pressure and adept at meeting targets
- Outstanding customer care / customer service experience
- Resilient, positive, organised, numerate and detail oriented
- Self-motivated, able to work autonomously, act on your own initiative and be part of a team
- The ability and desire to sell but with client needs and goals at forefront
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT literate (MS Office, internet, email systems)

Flexible working hours, a minimum of 15 hours per week is expected to achieve the OTE of £15-25K per annum plus reasonable expenses i.e. travel to meetings/events - note this is a commission based position with achievable targets for the right person.
Note: The position is NOT office based and would suit someone looking to complement their existing commitments or on a part-time basis. This job is only open to people based in the UK. If you are not based in the UK your application will not be considered.
