Join BuzzGen, a Worcester-based marketing agency, as an Advertising & Marketing Executive Apprentice (Level 3)
Support real multi-channel campaigns as an Advertising & Marketing Executive Apprentice (Level 3). You’ll help with campaign research and planning, audience insight, basic content creation, copywriting, website updates, and tracking performance through analytics and reporting.
What you'll do at work:
- Support campaign planning and research (gather info, competitors, audience insights)
- Help analyse performance data and define target audiences (spreadsheets/metrics)
- Draft, proofread and edit copy for ads, social posts, and web pages
- Create basic graphic/video content for campaigns (templates, resizing, simple edits)
- Update website and landing page content (uploads, edits, checks)
- Schedule and support social media activity across channels
- Track campaign performance and help compile reports (KPIs, screenshots, notes)
- Update databases and CRM records accurately (contacts, notes, status updates)
- Monitor campaign budgets and flag any issues or changes needed
- Join team/client check-ins, take notes, and share progress updates

What you'll learn:
Course contents
- Identify the ways in which creative and media can help organisations to achieve corporate objectives
- Objectively structure problems and approaches to solving them
- Manage projects using project management techniques in order to ensure campaigns are on track maintaining relationships
- Use industry recognised systems and technologies that are used in agencies to plan, budget and bill
- Produce communications for example on PowerPoint, emails, minutes and reports using industry terminology and professional language
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet agreed timelines
- Apply knowledge of the interface and the dynamics of the different agencies for a smooth flow of work
- Adhere to legislative regulations that apply in the advertising and media industry
- Upward supplier and client management related to commercial realities for example a new digital opportunity or a TV production problem
- Use negotiating and influencing techniques for example to communicate with different audiences or authorise a late media opportunity
- Delivery of supply chain value, on time
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders accurately and by selecting the appropriate method
- Support stakeholders in obtaining the data they need to complete tasks, for example demographics and metrics.
- Access the metric data and report it to the team
- Use digital collaboration tools to work with colleagues and key stakeholders
- Use creative and production techniques to help the idea appear in the correct format
- Support the execution phase to maintain the key creative idea.
- Report differences in ways competitor brands market themselves.
- Deploy digital mediums to guarantee results for example using Google Analytics to check key words
- Coordinate responses to media owners and intermediaries for example using automated platforms
- Provide support to research how the message or creative idea might be best distributed to reach the target audience for example time of day, the right place and make recommendations based on this

Training schedule:
Training will be delivered through the Advertising & Media Executive Level 3 apprenticeship using a blended approach. Most training will take place at BuzzGen’s Worcester office (40 Foregate Street, Worcester, WR1 1EE) with regular online seminars/workshops led by the training provider, plus coaching and mentoring from the BuzzGen team.
The apprentice will complete protected off-the-job learning time each week (typically around 6 hours per week) to cover the core modules (advertising fundamentals, project management, data and media metrics, legislation, and evaluating campaign performance), build their portfolio, and prepare for end-point assessment.
More training information:
Training will be delivered by an approved apprenticeship training provider through a blended programme of scheduled online sessions and workplace-based learning. The apprentice will have a named tutor/assessor, regular progress reviews with BuzzGen, and planned check-ins to track development against the apprenticeship requirements.

The programme will be structured around building a portfolio of evidence from real work projects, with ongoing feedback and support throughout, and dedicated preparation for the end-point assessment towards the end of the apprenticeship.
