Start your career in advertising and media
Hunterlodge is an award-winning, full-service advertising agency with an exciting and growing portfolio of clients across sectors including higher education, technology, finance and not-for-profit.
We're looking for our next Advertising & Media Executive Apprentice to join the Hunterlodge team.
This is an opportunity to learn how advertising really works from the inside, gaining hands-on experience across client services, media planning and buying, digital, creative, content and campaign performance.
You don't need previous agency experience. In fact, we don't expect you to arrive knowing how to plan a media campaign, write a client brief or analyse campaign performance.
That's what we're going to teach you.
What we do want
What we do want is someone who is curious, ambitious, comfortable with numbers, interested in advertising and digital media, and has a huge desire to keep learning.
What you'll be doing
You'll work alongside experienced Account Managers, Account Directors and Media specialists, supporting real campaigns for real clients.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, so will your responsibilities.
Client & Account Management
You'll learn how to:
- Support the day-to-day management of client accounts
- Join client meetings, prepare agendas and follow up actions
- Communicate professionally with clients by email, phone and in meetings
- Help prepare and present campaign updates, recommendations and results
- Understand our clients, their organisations, audiences and objectives
Media Planning & Strategy
You'll support our Media team to:
- Help develop media plans across digital and traditional channels
- Research audiences, competitors and market trends
- Learn how audience insight is turned into media recommendations
- Understand the role of different channels across the customer journey
- Learn how campaigns balance brand awareness and performance objectives
- Research new platforms, formats and emerging media opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
