Advertising Sales Manager – 9 Month Maternity Cover
£35,000–£40,000 + commission
Bell Publishing is looking for an experienced Advertising Sales Manager to join our team on a 9-month maternity cover, managing one of our established international B2B titles.
This is a traditional B2B media advertising sales role, ideal for someone with proven experience selling print display and/or classified advertising within a magazine, publishing or media environment.
You’ll manage an established client base while developing new business opportunities, selling print advertising, premium positions, editorial opportunities and digital campaigns to leading businesses across an international specialist market.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive advertising revenue across print and digital platforms
- Manage and grow an established client portfolio
- Develop new business through proactive sales activity
- Sell print display, classified and premium advertising
- Develop tailored media packages around client requirements
- Build relationships with direct clients and media agencies
- Work to monthly revenue targets
- Manage the CRM and sales pipeline
- Work with editorial, production, digital and events teams
- Attend UK and international industry events
- Monitor competitor activity and identify new opportunities

About You
You’ll have 2 - 3+ years’ experience in advertising/media sales, ideally within B2B publishing or trade media, with a strong understanding of print advertising and the traditional media sales process.
You’ll be confident selling over the phone and face-to-face, managing existing accounts while actively winning new business.
Experience we're looking for:
- Proven print advertising/media sales experience
- Display and/or classified advertising experience
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- A track record of achieving targets
- Experience managing client accounts and new business
- Comfortable selling to direct clients and media agencies
- Experience across print and digital media
- CRM experience
- International B2B experience is desirable but not essential

Location
Based in Gravesend town centre, with excellent road and rail links, including the high-speed service to London and the Medway Towns.
Hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
We’re a friendly, down to earth team and we like to work hard, have a laugh and enjoy what we do. You’ll be joining an established independent B2B publishing company with plenty of variety, industry events and opportunities to travel.
