Role Description

The Advertising Sales Manager will be responsible for driving advertising revenue across Broadband TV News’ digital platforms and newsletters in a contract, remote role. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and contacting prospective advertisers, managing the sales pipeline, and presenting tailored advertising solutions that align with client objectives. The role involves negotiating and closing advertising deals, preparing proposals and media kits, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients. The Advertising Sales Manager will collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to develop effective campaigns, monitor performance metrics, and optimize placements for maximum impact. Ongoing responsibilities also include accurate reporting, forecasting, and ensuring high standards of client service and professional communication.

  • Candidates should possess strong Media Sales and Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to build and maintain long-term advertiser relationships.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication and Marketing skills to present solutions and support campaign development.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with digital advertising concepts, metrics, and CRM or sales management tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience selling digital or media advertising, ideally within broadcasting, digital TV, or related industries.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a contract-based environment.
