Role Description

The Advertising Specialist (contract, remote) is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing online advertising campaigns that promote Scottish golf destinations, services, and partners. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners to:

  • Understand campaign objectives
  • Develop audience segments
  • Prepare regular reports that highlight campaign performance and recommendations

The Advertising Specialist will also:

  • Help test new advertising formats
  • Support sales initiatives with data-driven insights
  • Ensure brand consistency across all paid media

This contract position is fully remote and requires strong self-management and reliable communication.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and data analysis capabilities to interpret campaign metrics, identify trends, and make optimization decisions.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings, collaborate with partners, and coordinate with internal team members.
  • Marketing skills, including experience with digital advertising platforms (e.g., social media ads, search ads) and campaign planning.
  • Sales-oriented skills to support partner acquisition, upselling opportunities, and aligning advertising efforts with revenue goals.
  • Proficiency with advertising and analytics tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics or similar platforms).
  • Experience managing remote contract work, with strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Background in sports, travel, or hospitality marketing is beneficial; familiarity with golf or Scottish tourism is a plus.
  • Relevant education or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
