About us
Forget Me Not Publications hand-delivers a family of local magazines to around 55,000 homes across 11 editions in Hampshire every month — with every drop GPS-tracked, so we know it lands. In a world of scrolling and skipping ads, we give local businesses something rarer: a printed page that sits on the kitchen table and gets read. We're part of the Footprint Group, alongside our sister brands in print, digital, and account sales.
The role
We're looking for an Advertising Sales Executive to join our team, selling advertising space across our Hampshire editions to local businesses. You'll build your own patch, get to know the businesses in it, and help them see real results from advertising in a magazine their customers actually read. This is a relationship-led sales role, not a hard-sell one — you'll be helping small and medium businesses grow, month after month.
What you'll be doing
- Generating and following up new business leads across your territory by phone/face-to-face
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing advertisers, renewing and upselling where it adds value
- Understanding each client's business and matching them to the right package, edition, and placement
- Hitting monthly sales targets and keeping accurate records of pipeline and activity
- Spotting opportunities to cross-sell into our wider Footprint Group services
- Representing Forget Me Not Publications professionally in the local community

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
