The role in brief:
An opportunity has arisen to join the Cloud Accounting team as an adviser - at a semi senior level.
Who we are looking for:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has at least 3 consecutive years' experience working within an accountancy practice and has either completed or is working towards a professional accountancy qualification. Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero and Dext is crucial, and experience in preparing year end accounts is beneficial.
What the role involves:
- Bookkeeping on a monthly/quarterly basis using a variety of cloud based software (mainly Xero and QBO) alongside Apps to aid with efficiencies.
- Completion of VAT returns
- To be a part of our specialist Cloud Accounting division, supporting the Cloud Managers in delivering projects to assist our clients.
- Preparation of periodic management accounts both in-house and at clients' premises.
- Preparation of year end accounts.
- Preparation of corporate tax returns including analysis of tax sensitive nominals.
- Assisting with cloud conversions and training both in-house and at clients' premises.
- Being a trusted adviser to our clients, forming excellent client relationships for those whom you maintain the records for.
- Being responsible for our service delivery and seeking opportunities to add value.
- Supervising junior team members.
- To be a buddy to a chosen, less experienced, team member, taking an active role in their work and development.
- Having an awareness of efficiencies and KPIs and suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Recognizing opportunities for cross referral to other departments within PM+M.
- Travel between our Blackburn and Bury offices.
Your development
We will provide a study package towards the ACA/ACCA qualification, including study leave and will mentor you through your qualification journey if required.
We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills.
