The role:
The purpose of this role is to play a valuable role in our Operations Team, as Adviser Onboarding and Transition Manager. You will oversee the effective onboarding and transition of Financial Advisers new to AFH, including Stay, Transition, and Go acquisitions. Ensuring they are supported through a structured and consistent transition into the business.
As our Adviser Onboarding and Transition Manager, you will typically:
- Be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Client Services Transition Teams, ensuring a consistent and standardised approach is followed across all relevant processes
- Provide direction to Team Supervisors and team members, ensuring priorities are clear and performance expectations are understood
- Review the number of incoming advisers (through acquisitions or other routes) to inform transition planning and resource allocation
- Allocate resources within the Transition Teams’ remit to ensure adviser onboarding activity is appropriately prioritised, balanced, and delivered within agreed timescales
- Track key performance indicators for adviser transitions, including onboarding progress, client-base review activity, resource allocation, and service delivery outcomes, providing reports to senior management
- Coordinate the formal sign-off of advisers with the Commercial Development Team into the relevant BAU teams once transition activity is complete, ensuring readiness criteria are met and clear ownership is agreed
- Hold regular check-ins with new Financial Advisers to ensure transition support is clear, effective, and aligned to their onboarding requirements
- Act as a point of escalation for complex transition queries from the team, clients, financial advisers, and internal stakeholders.

What we are looking for in our ideal Adviser Onboarding and Transition Manager:
- Experience in a senior operational, client services, or people management role, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment
- Proven experience of managing multiple teams, Team Supervisors, or managers, with the ability to deliver performance through others
- Experience of leading, supporting, or representing a business area within project work, including attending project meetings, providing operational steer, and making informed decisions
- Strong understanding of operational risk, quality assurance, workflow management, and service delivery within a client-focused environment
- Able to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational delivery, ensuring decisions are practical, risk-aware, and aligned to business objectives
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, challenging appropriately, and influencing outcomes across teams and functions
- Must have a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
