Job Purpose and Impact

What if your next commercial role was less about selling individual ingredients and more about shaping what's next with some of the most important customers in the indulgence category?

We're looking for an experienced Strategic Accounts Advisor to join the Cargill team to grow and deepen partnerships with major food manufacturers in the UK and Europe, active in the chocolate, bakery, ice cream, or sweet dairy market. You'll bring together a broad portfolio—spanning cocoa and chocolate, oils, starches, sweeteners, and texturizers—and will be connecting customers' ambitions with our commercial, technical, and innovation capabilities. This is a role for someone who understands the food ingredients industry, enjoys navigating complex customer organizations, and knows how to turn insights, relationships, and innovation into sustainable growth. You'll have the opportunity to influence the long-term customer strategy, build senior relationships, and mobilize expertise across the organization to create solutions that deliver value for both the customer and our business.

United Kingdom preferred | Benelux locations considered | European customer scope

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement strategy with major food industry customers to expand demand, improve margin growth, significantly grow and extend strategic partnership.
  • Build deep customer understanding to establish mutually beneficial and long-term partnership with customers.
  • Collect insights from the external market to understand the competitive landscape, influence trends, define, and deliver value proposition.
  • Mobilize cross-functional expertise and resources across commercial, technical, supply chain, quality, and other teams to effectively resolve issues, anticipate arising challenges, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Lead strategic customer conversations through insight and storytelling, showing how our capabilities can support customers' growth ambitions.
  • You'll be trusted to operate with significant autonomy, bringing your market expertise and commercial judgment to complex customer opportunities.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure full alignment and drive efficiencies.
  • Travel ~25% of the time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
