Advisory Accountant

Central Manchester | Hybrid Working | £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Ready to move beyond traditional practice?

Are you an accountant working within practice and looking for something more commercial, client-focused and forward-thinking? Do you enjoy understanding the story behind the numbers and helping businesses make better decisions?

We're partnering with a fast-growing, technology-led business that is transforming the way organisations approach financial planning, forecasting and decision-making. As part of its continued growth, the business is expanding its outsourced finance and advisory offering and is looking for an ambitious Advisory Accountant to join the team.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make their first move from practice into a more commercially focused environment.

You'll work closely with a portfolio of clients, providing hands-on finance support while acting as a trusted advisor. Combining accounting expertise with commercial insight, you'll help businesses better understand their performance, plan for the future and make informed strategic decisions.

Unlike a traditional accounting role, you'll be encouraged to build strong client relationships, provide meaningful recommendations and actively contribute to business growth and decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
