About SailPoint

SailPoint is the leading, AI-driven identity security platform providing the autonomous governance that solves the complex needs of the modern enterprise. By harnessing the power of AI and machine learning, SailPoint automates and streamlines the complexity of delivering the right access to the right identities—both human and non-human—and technology resources at the right time, all delivered at the scale our enterprise customers demand.

The Opportunity: A Career-Defining Role

This is not a standard pre-sales position. This is an invitation to be the pioneering technical leader for a new category of technology in the UK market.

SailPoint is seeking a high-caliber, deeply technical Principal Agentic Technologist to join our newly formed global Agentic Technologists team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, you will be the primary technical authority responsible for proving the immense value of SailPoint’s Agentic and Non-Human Identity Security products to our most strategic customers and prospects in the United Kingdom. You aren’t just selling a solution; you are defining a new market and establishing SailPoint as its undisputed leader.

As the team's representative for the UK-EMEA region, you will join a globally distributed, elite group of principal-level technologists. Our mission is to unlock the potential of SailPoint’s global sales engineering scale and existing infrastructure, tapping into the powerful new agentic products SailPoint has released and is continuously innovating.

What You'll Do

  • Pioneer the Identity Story in the UK: Collaborate with world-class, like-minded individuals to build and iterate on technical assets that showcase how SailPoint gives organizations the confidence to securely build and govern both AI agents and traditional non-human identities (NHIs) at scale.
  • Drive Technical Success: As our senior-most agentic technologist in the UK, you will orchestrate the technical strategy for our most critical engagements. You will personally lead complex opportunities from discovery through to final architectural design, unlocking customer potential by leading bespoke Proof-of-Value (PoV) engagements and 'Art of the Possible' demonstrations.
  • Field Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Act as the premier SME for Agentic AI and Non-Human Identity security in the region. You will present at high-profile industry events, lead executive workshops, and enable the broader global sales engineering team on how to articulate and demonstrate our comprehensive identity vision.
  • Strategic Partner Enablement: Work closely with local partners to unlock the reach of our products. You will be responsible for creating and delivering scaled enablement programs, equipping partners with the deep technical knowledge required to bring SailPoint's solutions to the wider UK market.
  • Influence the Future: Partner closely with Product Management and executive leadership to provide critical "feet-on-the-ground" feedback from the field. You will directly influence the product roadmap by identifying the real-world identity challenges customers face when deploying both Agentic AI and other non-human identities.
  • Masterful Solution Design: Function as a trusted advisor to customers, working with them to design secure, forward-thinking identity architectures that encompass all identity types—from human users to service accounts and AI agents—to meet their strategic business goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on Agentic AI Proficiency: Deep, practical experience with Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc. You must be comfortable building or configuring sophisticated agents that interact with cloud platforms, other agents, and enterprise data.
  • Cloud AI Platform Expertise: Demonstrable experience working with major cloud AI platforms like AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Comprehensive Non-Human Identity Expertise: Deep familiarity with securing the full spectrum of non-human identities, including service accounts, API keys, and machine identities (e.g., SPIFFE/SPIRE, workload identity). You should understand the unique security challenges these present compared to traditional human identities.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) Foundations: A strong, commanding understanding of IGA/IAM principles, including Just-in-Time (JIT) access, least privilege, and lifecycle management for all identity types.
  • Advanced Development/Scripting Skills: High proficiency in Python (highly preferred for AI/ML work) and/or Java/JavaScript, with the ability to build custom demo integrations and automation scripts for POCs.
  • Strategic & Technical Communication: The rare ability to explain "the why" to a CISO and "the value" to a CDO, while also being able to dive deep and explain "the how" to a Lead Architect or developer.
