Beautypreneurs CIC Advisory Board Role
Beautypreneurs CIC exists to empower leaders and entrepreneurs within the hair, beauty, barbering, and wellness industries through leadership development, education, collaboration, and social impact initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
The Advisory Board provides independent expertise, industry insight, and strategic guidance to support the growth and development of Beautypreneurs CIC. Advisory Board Members act as trusted advisers and ambassadors, helping the organisation strengthen its impact and achieve its mission.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advice and Guidance
- Provide advice and insight on organisational strategy, growth, and sustainability.
- Offer expertise in specialist areas such as business development, education, finance, legal, governance, safeguarding, marketing, partnerships, fundraising, or entrepreneurship.
- Share industry trends, opportunities, and best practices that may benefit the organisation.
- Provide constructive challenge and support to the executive leadership team.

Advocacy and Networks
- Act as an ambassador for Beautypreneurs CIC and its mission.
- Introduce potential partners, funders, sponsors, and collaborators where appropriate.
- Support the organisation's profile, credibility, and reach within the sector.
- Champion opportunities that align with the organisation's strategic priorities.
Organisational Development
- Contribute ideas and recommendations that strengthen programmes and services.
- Participate in strategic discussions and provide feedback on key initiatives.
- Support the leadership team with problem-solving and informed decision-making.
Commitment
- Attend up to six advisory meetings per year.
- Participate in occasional workshops, consultations, or events where appropriate.
- Be available for reasonable ad hoc advice and support between meetings.
- Serve an initial term of one year, renewable by mutual agreement.
Person Specification
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are passionate about supporting positive change within the beauty, barbering, and wellness sectors.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative approach.
- Bring expertise, lived experience, or networks that can contribute to the organisation's development.
- Are willing to share knowledge and mentor or advise where appropriate.

Legal Position
Advisory Board Members:
- Are not company directors and are not registered with Companies House.
- Do not hold statutory duties under the Companies Act 2006.
- Are not responsible for filing accounts, confirmation statements, or regulatory submissions.
- Do not have fiduciary responsibility for the organisation's governance or finances.
- Are not authorised signatories on company bank accounts unless separately appointed to another role.
- Provide advice and recommendations only; decision-making authority remains with the Board of Directors.
Remuneration
This is a voluntary, unpaid position. Reasonable expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with organisational policy.
