Role description:

As Industry Advisory Lead for Transportation, you will lead the regional industry direction for Advisory, translating global priorities into a differentiated go-to-market strategy that drives advisory led net revenue growth, strengthens Arcadis’ market presence, and increases cross-selling across priority accounts.

This role is accountable for shaping compelling industry propositions, building senior client relationships, creating and converting strategic opportunities, and mobilizing the right capabilities, talent, and campaigns to deliver high value client outcomes at scale.

This role will work across Service Area Groups, geographies, account teams, marketing, commercial operations, workforce planning, and delivery leadership to ensure growth is both ambitious and executable.

Role accountabilities:

Market Leadership and Growth

  • Own and execute the regional Transportation industry growth strategy, aligned to global and regional industry priorities set by global industry and sector leads, and regional Advisory strategy.
  • Define a differentiated advisory point of view for the industry, including propositions, priority themes, client outcomes, and market facing narratives.
  • Build client relationships & represent Arcadis externally within the Transportation ecosystem, including Rail, Highways, and Airports.

Client and Commercial Leadership

  • Partner with Account Executives, Account Leaders, and industry leaders to shape and win strategic pursuits.
  • Influence bid decisions, pricing approach, pursuit strategy, and commercial positioning to ensure Arcadis is focused on the right opportunities.
  • Strengthen cross sell of Advisory services into key accounts and strategic programs.
  • Ensure pursuit activity is grounded in value-based propositions and aligned to measurable client outcomes.

Capability and Talent Leadership

  • Build and lead a community of Transportation advisory specialists.
  • Define priority capabilities aligned to market growth areas and future client needs.
  • Sponsor talent development, succession, and bench strength in partnership with other leaders.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and scale best practices across Advisory and Service Area Groups.
  • Champion digital, data, and AI enabled advisory approaches that improve client impact and market differentiation.

Collaboration, Integration, and Governance

  • Drive collaboration across Service Area Groups, geographies, and functions to deliver a One Advisory approach.
  • Orchestrate marketing campaigns and thought leadership with measurable impact.
  • Embed Advisory into account planning and Client Success Teams.
  • Apply commercial, risk, quality, and compliance frameworks consistently.
  • Role model Arcadis leadership behaviors and contribute to a high performance, inclusive culture.

Delivery Readiness and Performance

  • Ensure alignment between pipeline, resourcing, and delivery capability.
  • Mobilize the right teams across Service Area Groups for pursuits and delivery.
  • Maintain visibility of capacity and contribute to workforce planning decisions.
  • Uphold quality standards and ensure growth is sustainable, executable, and aligned to delivery capacity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Significant experience in Transportation, infrastructure advisory, client advisory, consulting, or related professional services.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute industry growth strategies in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong track record of building trusted internal and client relationships and converting strategic opportunities.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience influencing pursuit strategy, pricing, bid decisions, and value-based propositions.
  • Ability to work across account teams, delivery teams, Service Area Groups, marketing, commercial, and people functions.
  • Experience developing market propositions, campaigns, thought leadership, and client facing advisory solutions.
  • Ability to build capability, sponsor talent development, and create strong specialist communities.
  • Strong commitment to quality, compliance, collaboration, inclusion, and sustainable performance.
