The role

We are looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic Manager to work within our Private Client Business team. This role will be based within the Private Client Business team in London, which provides a wide range of strategic advisory and family office services to private clients and their associated entities. The successful candidate will support partners and directors to provide outstanding client service and deliver accounting, tax and other support.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage large family groups and coordinate the provision of accountancy, tax and other services for HNW and UHNW individuals and entities. Candidates should ideally have a broad background in private client matters.
  • Oversee the delivery of all aspects of advice and compliance for those clients, and all associated entities, such as companies, trusts and partnerships.
  • Support partners with ad hoc projects, including restructuring and succession planning. Be familiar with family investment companies, trusts and landed estates.
  • Liaise proactively with external contacts and intermediaries, in addition to building strong client relationships.
  • Mentor junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to internal training on matters relevant to private clients.

You

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and technically capable, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. The position will require a high level of teamwork and commitment, with the ability to manage deadlines and run multiple projects concurrently. Candidates should be self-motivated, display a positive approach and can get things done. In addition, they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.

Candidates should be CTA qualified with a preference to also hold an additional STEP/ACA qualification (but this is not essential). The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of broad private client experience, ideally including capital tax work. The candidate will need to have experience in managing a demanding portfolio with a range of clients, reporting to multiple stakeholders simultaneously. The firm will provide training and support to help develop the successful candidate’s specialist knowledge and capabilities.

  • A 35 hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to three days per week (our core hours are 10-4)

  • Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December.
