About the Role

Reporting to the project leadership team, the role plays a significant part in the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects across the full project lifecycle, ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with organisational and client objectives.

The role requires coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and effective stakeholder management is essential to ensure projects are delivered to plan in operational healthcare environments and active clinical services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear project reporting to committees and key stakeholders throughout the delivery process
  • Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure and performance, oversee multidisciplinary project teams and consultants, and maintain effective governance and reporting arrangements
  • Contribute to the Trust's Estates Masterplan and capital programme, promote continuous improvement, and role model compassionate, inclusive leadership to deliver high-quality healthcare environments
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to develop project solutions that meet service requirements while minimising disruption to patient care
  • Provide professional and technical advice, present business cases and project updates, and ensure compliance with NHS guidance, statutory legislation, and organisational governance

Key Competencies

  • Notable experience in healthcare construction projects and a degree in a related discipline
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Sound understanding of construction procurement methodologies and standard forms of contract
