Community Engagement

• Identify opportunities to engage with families and communities affected by H.I.E. and understand their experiences, needs, and priorities.
• Consider how Peeps can diversify its reach and make its services as accessible and inclusive as possible to anyone who may benefit from them.
• Help identify communities or groups who may currently be under-represented in Peeps’ reach.
• Bring feedback, opportunities, and learning from the community back to the CEO and wider team.

Events and Networking

• Attend and support relevant events, study days, conferences, meetings, and promotional opportunities, both online and face-to-face.
• Involve Peeps volunteers appropriately in outreach and awareness-raising activity.
• Identify opportunities where attending or contributing to an event could provide meaningful benefit to Peeps or the families we support.
• Consider the time, cost, and potential impact of networking and event opportunities, seeking funding, sponsorship, or honorariums where appropriate.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contacts, relationships, meetings, outreach activity, and opportunities.
• Use Peeps’ databases and systems effectively to ensure information is recorded consistently.
• Monitor the progress and impact of outreach and relationship-building activity.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO and Trustees on networks, relationships, activity, successes, opportunities, and risks.
• Work with the CEO to agree on priorities and targets for outreach and advocacy activity.

Additional Information

Location:

This position is predominantly office-based at The HIvE, Peeps’ office space in Oldham.

Contract:

12-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent if funding permits.

Hollinwood Business Centre, Albert Street, Oldham, OL8 3QL.

Hours:

10 hours per week.

• Core hours are 12pm–2pm each Monday.
• The remaining hours can be worked flexibly between 9am–5pm Monday to Friday, in agreement with the CEO and according to the needs of the role.
• Some evening and weekend work may occasionally be required to support events or specific outreach opportunities. This will be agreed in advance wherever possible.

Salary:

• £7,500 per annum for 10 hours per week
• Full-time equivalent: £26,250 per annum
