AEM Sites Technical Architect | London (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) | 6-Month Contract
We are looking for an experienced AEM Sites Technical Architect to join a high-impact digital transformation engagement based in London.
About the Role:
You will architect and lead enterprise-scale AEM Sites solutions, driving technical strategy, implementation, and modernisation across a large-scale digital experience platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design enterprise-scale AEM Sites solutions and digital experience platforms
- Lead AEM implementation, migration, and modernisation initiatives (AEM 6.5 → AEMaaCS)
- Define scalable, secure, and high-performing AEM architecture
- Provide technical leadership and conduct design/code reviews
- Design reusable components, templates, Experience Fragments, and Content Fragments
- Drive integrations with Adobe Experience Cloud and third-party systems
- Define CI/CD, deployment, and DevOps best practices using Cloud Manager
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and client architects

Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with 6+ years in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Strong hands-on expertise in AEM Sites, AEM 6.5, and AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
- HTL (Sightly), Sling Models, Sling Servlets, OSGi, Java/J2EE
- Editable Templates, Experience Fragments, Content Fragments
- Dispatcher, CDN, and Caching Strategies
- Apache Sling, JCR, Oak Repository
- REST APIs, GraphQL, Headless CMS
- Cloud Manager, Git, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines
- MSM, Translation Framework, Workflow Development
- Exposure to Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) — preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe AEM Architect/Developer certification(s)
- Experience with AEM Cloud migrations and content modernisation
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, AEP, AJO, and Adobe ecosystem integrations
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Contract Details:
- Location: London, UK
- Work Mode: Hybrid — 3 days onsite per week
- Duration: 6 months
- Rate: £560/day
