Senior Aerodynamicist

Client: BAE Systems

Location: Brough, HU15 1EQ

Contract Length: 12 Months

37 hours per week – Onsite Full time

Rate: £39.51 PAYE or £53.25 umbrella inside IR35

Overview

Are you an experienced Aerodynamicist looking to work on some of the UK's most advanced aerospace programmes?

BAE Systems is seeking a talented Senior Aerodynamicist to join their Flight Sciences Engineering team, where you'll play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across current and future air platforms.

Please note you must be a Sole UK national and eligible for SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide aerodynamic engineering support across a wide range of current and future BAE Systems Air programmes.
  • Undertake aerodynamic research, design, computational analysis, simulation and testing.
  • Support flight clearance activities for complex air vehicles.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of aerodynamic toolsets and digital engineering capabilities.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, research organisations and engineering partners.
  • Ensure engineering activities are delivered in accordance with company governance, quality standards and Agile ways of working.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.

Key Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience within an aerodynamics research or industrial environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in one or more specialist aerodynamic disciplines.
  • Experience working collaboratively with customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Aerospace Engineering or another relevant STEM discipline.
