Role Overview
We're looking for an Aerospace Specifications Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring our Aerospace Coatings portfolio meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer requirements. In this role, you'll take ownership of the specifications management process, working closely with global stakeholders across Product Management, R&D, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service to drive excellence across our Aerospace business.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage the Aerospace specifications management process, ensuring specifications are accurately reviewed, implemented, and maintained.
- Review new and revised customer specifications, assessing their applicability and alignment with our existing product portfolio.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities relating to specification changes, product qualifications, and implementation plans.
- Work closely with R&D teams to determine product compliance requirements and initiate laboratory work requests where required.
- Identify gaps between customer specifications and current products, supporting deviation requests and qualification activities when necessary.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to resolve specification queries and communicate updates effectively.
- Maintain specification records and documentation across SAP and SharePoint systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
- Coordinate the implementation of specification changes across multiple functions, including Quality, Planning, Customer Service, and Product Management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping to optimise specification management processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards, including ISO, ASTM, and SAE requirements.

What you bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience working within technical sales, product management, R&D, quality systems, or specifications management.
- Experience working within regulated industries, with Aerospace experience being advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications and documentation.
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP, alongside Microsoft Office and SharePoint tools.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working effectively across cross-functional teams.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high standards of quality and compliance.
