Role Description

The Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber will provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments and clinical consultations to clients on-site at the Southampton clinic. This is a contract role based on agreed hours and clinic requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Assessing clients’ medical histories
• Conducting face-to-face consultations
• Prescribing appropriate aesthetic medications and treatments in line with clinical guidelines
• Performing injectable procedures (such as dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments)
• Monitoring treatment outcomes
• Managing follow-up care

The role involves:

• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Supporting treatment planning
• Upholding infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure high-quality, ethical, and client-centered care

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Nurse (NMC or equivalent) with independent prescribing qualification and demonstrable experience in aesthetic practice.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, including history taking, treatment planning, and risk assessment, with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Proficiency in performing injectable aesthetic treatments, managing complications, and delivering clear aftercare advice to clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, provide informed consent discussions, and manage client expectations professionally.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical documentation, adhering to regulatory and clinic protocols, and upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development within the aesthetics field.
• Experience working in a private clinic or medical aesthetics setting is highly beneficial; additional certifications in cosmetic procedures are an advantage.
