Job type: Full-time or Part-time

Pay: £12.71–£13.50 per hour basic, depending on experience, plus commission and bonus structure

About Us

Dr Ana The Skin Clinic is an award-winning, doctor-led aesthetic and skin clinic based in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

We are looking for an experienced Aesthetic Practitioner / Advanced Skin Therapist to join our growing team.

This position is primarily based at our Edgbaston clinic, although there may also be scope in the future for the successful candidate to work across our Stratford-upon-Avon clinic as the business continues to expand.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the Midlands’ most advanced and luxurious aesthetic clinics, alongside a team of award-winning medical and aesthetic experts.

Our clinic combines exceptionally high clinical standards with a genuine five-star luxury patient experience, and we are looking for a practitioner who shares those values.

Please note: this is not an injectable practitioner role. The position is specifically focused on advanced skin, laser, energy-based and aesthetic treatments.

We are happy to consider either full-time or part-time applicants and can offer flexibility for the right candidate.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum Level 5 qualification in Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics or an equivalent advanced skin qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a doctor-led aesthetic or skin clinic
  • Experience carrying out advanced skin and aesthetic treatments
  • Excellent knowledge of skin, treatment protocols, contraindications and patient safety
  • Excellent consultation and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • High standards of clinical documentation and record keeping
  • A professional, polished and well-presented manner
  • A genuine passion for delivering an outstanding patient experience
  • The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a clinical team
  • Excellent organisation, reliability and time management
  • Availability to work Saturdays
  • Availability to work some evenings
  • A flexible approach to working hours according to patient and clinic requirements

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering advanced aesthetic and skin treatments while ensuring every patient receives an exceptional level of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out detailed patient consultations and skin assessments
  • Delivering advanced skin and aesthetic treatments to a consistently high clinical standard
  • Creating appropriate treatment plans
  • Working closely with our doctors and wider clinical team
  • Providing a seamless, five-star patient journey
  • Taking high-quality clinical photographs and treatment documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records
  • Providing detailed pre- and post-treatment advice
  • Monitoring patient progress and treatment outcomes
  • Maintaining excellent infection-control and clinical-safety standards
  • Ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are maintained to an exceptional standard
  • Developing strong, long-term relationships with patients
  • Recommending appropriate treatment programmes and medical-grade skincare where indicated

Experience with any of the following would be particularly advantageous:

  • Laser treatments
  • Energy-based devices
  • Advanced facials
  • Skin rejuvenation treatments
  • Microneedling
  • Hydrafacial or similar technologies
  • Body treatments
  • Medical-grade skincare
  • Skin analysis and imaging systems

Training on our specific technologies, treatment protocols and clinic standards will be provided where required.

Hours

Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

Applicants must, however, be willing to work Saturdays and some evenings and be able to offer reasonable flexibility according to patient and clinic requirements.

Salary

£12.71–£13.50 per hour basic, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a generous commission and bonus structure.
