Affiliate Manager - Freelance to Perm
Introduction
We are working with a leading digital marketing agency to find an experienced Affiliate Manager to join the team and support one of their largest client accounts. This is an exciting opportunity for a performance-focused affiliate specialist to take ownership of affiliate activity, build strong partner relationships and deliver campaigns that drive growth and maximise ROI.
The Role
As Affiliate Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing affiliate marketing activity across key client accounts. You will oversee affiliate campaigns from strategy and partner management through to reporting and optimisation, while identifying new opportunities to grow the affiliate programme.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing affiliate marketing strategies in line with client objectives and campaign briefs
- Managing and optimising affiliate promotions to maximise ROI and maintain budget efficiency
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing affiliate partners and networks
- Identifying and onboarding new affiliate partners to grow and diversify the programme
- Managing affiliate budgets, including commission and overall programme spend
- Monitoring affiliate activity and ensuring partners comply with programme policies and guidelines
- Working closely with PPC teams to monitor and manage brand bidding activity
- Keeping affiliate partners informed about new products, promotions and programme developments
- Creating and delivering regular affiliate performance reports for clients and senior management
- Analysing campaign performance and identifying opportunities for optimisation and growth
- Monitoring competitor affiliate activity, campaigns and promotional strategies
- Developing initiatives to motivate and improve affiliate partner performance
- Managing invoicing processes and ensuring accurate and timely payments across agencies and affiliates

You – Skills & Experience:
- 2–3+ years' experience in affiliate marketing or performance marketing
- Strong digital marketing background with a particular focus on affiliate and performance channels
- Previous experience working in an agency environment, ideally in a client-facing role
- Proven experience developing and managing affiliate network and partner relationships
- Strong understanding of the UK and international affiliate markets
- Good understanding of affiliate tracking technology and campaign measurement
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable insights
- Experience managing affiliate budgets, commissions and campaign spend
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong reporting and presentation skills with confidence communicating with senior stakeholders
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- Commercially driven and results-focused, with a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities
