Safari Sales Specialist
Location: SW London | South East | Hybrid | Flexible
Salary: DOE + performance-based bonus
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ safari sales experience

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Safari Sales Specialist to join an established and highly regarded luxury safari business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone already working within the African safari industry who has at least two years’ experience selling tailor-made safaris and is looking to develop their career within a business with exceptional access to some of Africa’s most renowned camps and lodges.
The company has built an outstanding reputation for creating authentic, highly personalised African safaris and works closely with an exceptional portfolio of camps and lodges across some of the continent’s most extraordinary areas.
The team is made up of genuine Africa specialists and there is a strong emphasis on first-hand knowledge, expert advice and creating the right safari for each individual client.

Team members have the opportunity to travel to Africa regularly, experiencing destinations, camps and lodges first-hand and continually building their product knowledge.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced safari sales team, you will manage client enquiries from initial conversation through to designing and selling exceptional, tailor-made African itineraries.
You will:
- Build relationships with clients via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
- Understand individual client requirements and use your expertise to create exciting, personalised safari itineraries.
- Manage your own enquiries and sales pipeline, taking ownership of each booking from initial enquiry onwards.
- Deliver an exceptional level of service throughout the client journey.
- Use your existing knowledge of Africa to confidently recommend destinations, camps, lodges and experiences.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers, partners and colleagues across the wider business.
- Continue to grow your destination and product knowledge through training and regular travel.
- Keep up to date with new properties, experiences and developments across the African safari market.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team, sharing knowledge and contributing to continued sales growth.

About You
We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates who already have a strong grounding in safari sales and are passionate about building a long-term career within the industry.
You will need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience selling African safaris within a tour operator, safari specialist or similar luxury travel business.
- Strong knowledge of safari destinations across East and/or Southern Africa.
- Experience creating and selling bespoke, tailor-made itineraries.
- Excellent communication skills and a confident, engaging telephone manner.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach.
- A real passion for Africa and enthusiasm for continually developing your knowledge.
- First-hand experience living or working in Africa.
