Head of Aftersales

Doncaster | Site-Based
£70,000 – £85,000 + 20–30% Bonus

We are the embedded hiring partner to an established and rapidly growing business within the technical equipment sector, supporting them in the appointment of a Head of Aftersales to lead and develop their Service and Installation operations.

The business has experienced significant growth and continues to invest both organically and through acquisition. Aftersales is already a multi-million-pound recurring-revenue operation, with further expansion planned across its national field-engineering team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can take full ownership of the Aftersales function, strengthen operational performance and customer experience, and build a scalable service model to support the next phase of growth.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for the Service and Installation functions, with direct accountability for Aftersales performance, P&L, customer relationships, and the continued development of the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and growing Aftersales revenue while protecting margin
  • Developing recurring revenue across service contracts, calibration, warranty, parts and consumables
  • Leading a national field-engineering operation of 20+ engineers alongside subcontractors, with further growth planned
  • Improving key operational measures including SLAs, first-time fix, engineer utilisation, response times, quote conversion and contract renewals
  • Taking senior ownership of key customer relationships and leading significant escalations
  • Developing managers, Coordinators and support teams to create a scalable and effective operating structure
  • Driving improvements across scheduling, service delivery and overall customer experience
  • Monitoring commercial performance including margin, WIP, debtor days and engineer revenue
  • Presenting Aftersales performance and P&L directly to the board

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within garage equipment, MOT, vehicle lifts, brake testing, tyre or wheel alignment would be particularly relevant. However, candidates from material handling, capital equipment, industrial machinery or other technical field-service environments will also be considered.

What's on Offer

  • £70,000 – £85,000 base salary
  • 20–30% target bonus
  • 25 days' holiday plus statutory holidays
  • Pension scheme
  • Senior leadership position within a growing organisation
