What is this role about?

The After Sales Technical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for after-sales teams, technicians, and third-party service partners to ensure high-quality service delivery, product knowledge, and consistent adherence to safety and technical standards. This role supports continuous improvement of diagnostic and repair capabilities, enhances first-time fix rates, and helps maintain customer satisfaction through effective knowledge transfer, coaching, and competency assessments.

What will YOU do?

  • Design, develop, and maintain technical training materials, manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assessment tools for after-sales personnel and partner technicians.
  • Deliver classroom, workshop, and on-the-job training sessions covering product systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, safety practices, and warranty processes.
  • Conduct regular competency assessments and practical evaluations to measure skill levels, identify gaps, and recommend targeted coaching plans.
  • Collaborate with Service, Engineering, Quality, and Parts teams to ensure training content reflects current product updates, technical bulletins, and best practices.
  • Support service advisors and technicians in diagnosing complex faults, providing hands-on troubleshooting guidance, and improving first-time repair rates.
  • Develop and maintain a training schedule, track attendance, and report training effectiveness and key performance indicators to management.
  • Facilitate certification programs for internal staff and external partners to ensure consistent service quality and compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with regional teams to roll out new product trainings and ensure standardized delivery across service locations.
  • Maintain training equipment, demo units, and practical labs; coordinate with procurement for necessary tools and consumables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support after-sales excellence and customer satisfaction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Technical Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience in after-sales, service, or repair roles; experience with LPG, fuel systems, or heavy equipment is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in training, coaching, or technical instruction preferred; certification in training delivery or adult learning is a plus.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with practical knowledge of tools, test equipment, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Adept in preparing training materials, conducting assessments, and using digital presentation tools; basic data analysis skills to track training impact.
  • Willingness to travel to service locations and suppliers’ terminals as required; flexible to support training schedules across regions.
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement; able to work collaboratively across functional teams.
