After School Club Assistant

Aldwickbury School is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Assistant to join our dedicated wraparound care team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play a key role in creating a safe, engaging and enjoyable environment at the end of the school day.

The successful candidate will help supervise and support children aged 4 to 11 years, ensuring their safety and wellbeing while encouraging participation in a wide range of fun and stimulating activities. From arts and crafts and games to outdoor play and creative projects, you will help provide a positive experience where children can relax, socialise and thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support children aged 4 to 11 years
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
  • Encourage participation in a wide range of activities
  • Assist with snack preparation
  • Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Follow school safeguarding and health and safety procedures

Requirements

  • Approachable, energetic and committed to supporting children's development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Experience of working with children is desirable, although enthusiasm, a caring nature and a willingness to learn are just as important

Working Hours

This is a part-time, term-time only position, working three hours per day. There is flexibility regarding the days worked each week, which can be discussed at interview.
