AFTER SCHOOL CLUB PLAYWORKER

We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable After School Club Playworker to join our team at Wraysbury Primary School. You'll help create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment where children can relax, play, make friends and enjoy a variety of activities after their school day. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for family-friendly, term-time working hours with no weekend work.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

🌟 2:45pm – 6:00pm

16.25 hours per week, term time only

There may also be opportunities to increase your hours by working at our holiday clubs during school holidays, if available.

About the Role

As an After School Club Playworker, you'll help deliver high-quality childcare in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. You'll support children through a mixture of engaging activities, creative play, games and structured activities, helping them enjoy their time at the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of fun and engaging activities including games, sports, arts & crafts and structured play
  • Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation
  • Support children's wellbeing and development
  • Supervise children throughout the session
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures
  • Complete sign-in and sign-out procedures
  • Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards
  • Set up and pack away play areas and equipment
  • Complete relevant accident and incident documentation
  • Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues and school staff
  • Carry out basic equipment and safety checks
  • Support first aid and health & safety procedures where required
