After-School Club Teacher
Are you in London? Are you enthusiastic, reliable and great with children? Do you enjoy helping children learn and trying new things?
Beta Generation Academy is looking for After-School Club Teachers to lead fun and engaging clubs for children aged 5–12 across London.
You don't need to be a qualified teacher or a coding expert. Our clubs focus on fun, entry-level coding and technology, much of which is visual and block-based using platforms such as Scratch.
Full training is provided on the apps, platforms and lesson content you'll use.
What you'll do
- Lead fun after-school sessions for children aged 5–12
- Follow our ready-made lesson plans and activities
- Demonstrate activities and support children as they work
- Encourage creativity, curiosity and confidence
- Manage a group of children and create a positive environment
- Prepare for sessions and provide brief feedback afterwards
- Attend online training and follow safeguarding procedures

What we're looking for
- Reliable and organised
- Good communication skills
- Enthusiastic, friendly and patient
- Confident and comfortable working with children
- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn new technology
- Able to commit to at least two afternoons per week during term time
Previous teaching or childcare experience is helpful but not essential, and previous coding experience is a bonus rather than a requirement.

The practical details
- Location: Schools across Greater London, particularly NW, SW and Central London
- Hours: Generally 3:00pm–5:30pm
- Commitment: At least 2 afternoons per week for a full academic term
- Type: Self-employed contractor
- Training: Fully provided
- Pay: £35 per club (including travel)
Recruitment process
- Video Interview: Less than 10 minutes
- Final Interview / Trial Lesson: 30 minutes via Google Meet
Safeguarding training is provided.
