Location: Cromwell Community College, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent, 28.75 hours per week, 38.2 weeks per year
Salary (FTE): ALT Grade D - £26,224.00 to £26,847.00
Salary (Actual): ALT Grade D - £17,116.76 to £17,523.40

We are looking for an After School Lettings Officer to play an important role in ensuring Cromwell Community College remains a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment beyond the school day. Based at our all-through school in Chatteris, this varied position combines responsibility for evening lettings, site security and facilities oversight with the safe transport and supervision of students using the college minibus. Working closely with colleagues, hirers and members of the local community, the successful candidate will bring a practical approach, strong customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards, helping us make the very best use of our facilities for the benefit of pupils and the wider community.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
- Oversee evening community lettings, ensuring facilities are safe, secure, well maintained and ready for use.
- Drive the college minibus safely, transport students to and from after-school activities.
- Prepare, inspect and maintain facilities and equipment, including cleaning, routine checks and minor maintenance tasks.
- Manage site security, including locking and unlocking buildings, alarm operation and responding to minor safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, lettings, safeguarding and record-keeping procedures

Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 16:15 to 18:15 - Student minibus driving duties
- 18:15 to 22:00 - Oversight of community lettings and facilities
We recognise that candidates may bring different strengths and experience. While this role includes driving and supervising students on the college minibus, we would also welcome applications from individuals who are interested in the lettings and facilities aspects of the role only. For the right candidate, the position may be offered on reduced hours without the minibus responsibilities.
