Job Title: Aftermarket Business Analyst (Construction)

Location: Duxford, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £33,500 - £40,000 DOE

Contract: Full time, Permanent

About The Role

We are looking for an Aftermarket Business Analyst to join our team in Duxford. In this role, you'll use commercial analysis, pricing insight, and market intelligence to help grow our parts and service business across Great Britain.

Working closely with stakeholders across Service, Sales, and Finance, you'll identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, and operational performance. Your analysis will directly influence business decisions, support strategic initiatives, and help shape the future direction of SMT's aftermarket operation.

Experience within construction equipment, commercial vehicles, automotive, industrial machinery, or a similar aftermarket environment would be highly advantageous.

A strong understanding of the construction, heavy plant, or a closely related industry—and its aftermarket dynamics—is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse parts, labour, and CSA performance, identifying trends, risks, and areas of margin erosion
  • Identify opportunities to grow parts and service revenue, developing targeted strategies to unlock untapped potential
  • Carry out competitor and pricing analysis to strengthen commercial positioning and protect profitability
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making
  • Lead or contribute to aftermarket projects, including new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Take ownership of key systems, pricing processes, and modelling tools that underpin aftermarket performance
  • Act as a key contact for aftermarket campaigns and external insights, working with stakeholders to maximise impact and market share

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
