The Role
- Achieve the profitability targets of the aftersales department in-line with Annual Plan.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained enabling repeat business.
- Ensure margin and cash flow expectations are in-line with group parameters.
- Work closely with sales and engineering teams to align efforts and goals.
- Oversee and ensure quotations and order handling follow the published departmental procedures, with quarterly reviews.
- Demonstrate and Support Bilfinger nZERO Vision, Values, Goals and Objectives throughout the team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Management
- Support the development of aftermarket sales strategies aligned with company objectives and budget.
- Identify opportunities for growth and market expansion within the aftermarket segment including equipment upgrades.
- Work closely with Aftermarket team to identify opportunities to increase self-generated sales (SGS) and spare parts.
- Support the continued improvement to process and procedural changes as the department expands and focusses on efficiency to maximise customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Support the Group Aftermarket Commercial Manager to enhance the customer experience from quote to delivery of service / goods.
- Identify and develop third party partnerships/distributorship, as directed.
- Provide direction, mentoring and development support to relevant members of Aftersales sales team e.g. contract management and commercial awareness.
- Support the Group’s People, Customer and Process strategies.
- Demonstrate working style that always promotes and upholds Bilfinger nZERO’s values and behaviours.

Sales
- Contribute to the Annual Business Plan and Latest Estimate Quarterly Reports and take necessary actions to ensure Group Sales targets are met.
- Review and provide regular updates on sales performance and implement corrective measures when necessary.
- Ensure relevant KPIs met e.g. 95% on time quotations submitted to due date, POs reviewed and handed over within 2 days of receipt, orders billed within 1 week of completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key aftermarket customers and partners.
- Contribute to pricing strategies for aftermarket products and services to maximise profitability.
- Review and feedback on market trends and competitive landscape to support pricing strategy changes.
Marketing and Promotion
- Contribute to promotional campaigns and collateral materials for aftermarket products / services.
- Support initiatives to increase aftermarket product awareness and demand.
Customer Relationship Management
- Log, manage and maintain the appropriate CRM system Opportunity entries (Salesforce and nZERO Portal)
- Support strong relationships with aftermarket customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Address customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Liaise with internal teams to provide accurate and timely forecasts e.g. Service and Sales.
- Support contract negotiations as required.
Reporting and Planning
- Liaise with customers and aftermarket colleagues to establish an order outlook forecast into Aftermarket Service submitted to management on a monthly basis.
- Report on order bookings performance monthly and identify and implement improvements to meet or exceed budget and provide quarterly forecasts.
- Contribute to market analysis and demand forecasting to anticipate future aftermarket sales trends.
- Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts for aftermarket sales revenue.
Compliance
- Contribute to and follow department documented processes/forms/templates.
- Comply with appropriate Delegation of Authority limits.
- Understand and implement the necessary ‘battle of the forms’ to ensure all business is conducted on Bilfinger nZERO approved Ts&Cs.

Other
- Ad hoc tasks where required.
- Report industry developments and best practices in aftermarket sales and incorporate relevant strategies into the business.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in aftermarket operation.
- Responsible for their own health and safety and that of others in line with the nZero procedures.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree/HND Chemical or Instrumentation background.
Skills
- Competency in Office 365 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint.
- Previous Sales experience ideally within a process analysis/technical sales environment.
- Project management experience would be desirable.
- Excellent numeric and analytical skills.
- SAP ERP system use for order handling of bespoke orders.
Experience
- Have a minimum of at least 5 years’ experience within the utilities, process, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, steel or pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong understanding of aftermarket sales channels, pricing strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Proven experience in aftermarket sales, preferably in a managerial role.
- Experience in directly handling clients with any commercial queries.
- Experience contributing to annual business plans.
- Experience producing annual business plans.
Knowledge
- Contractual arrangements such as liquidated damages, performance bonds, performance guarantees and warranties.
- Good knowledge of industrial instrumentation and system integration.
- Good knowledge of Gas quality and metering installations (incl. Biomethane).
- Intellectual property arrangements i.e. licence / distribution agreements.
