Aftermarket Contracts Manager

Wolverhampton

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of the Contracts team supporting Safran Actuation Systems UK Ltd. You will provide effective and efficient support to Actuation Systems' Aftermarket, in offering and supporting customers with products that are delivered on time, to the correct quality in a safe manner. This role includes advising the Global Customer Services team on compliance to contracts and supporting Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, approve and negotiate a wide range of aftermarket agreements, including supply, repair, maintenance, licensing and support contracts.
  • Act as the contractual focal point for the Aftermarket business, providing guidance on commercial risk, compliance and contractual obligations.
  • Support Business Development and Customer Services teams in developing contractual solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
  • Lead customer contract negotiations, ensuring commercially sound outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Review and manage contract-related claims, disputes and change requests, providing practical solutions.
  • Mentor and support Contracts Officers, promoting best practice and continuous development across the Contracts function.

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, or 7 years' relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation and contract management within an aerospace or highly regulated environment.
  • Previous experience supporting aerospace Aftermarket, customer support, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), or service-related activities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, assess and mitigate contractual risks.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing teams and managing contractual relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical commercial solutions.

Desirable:

  • Experience mentoring, coaching or developing Contracts Officers or junior team members.
  • Legal qualifications or experience gained within a legal or commercial contracts environment.
  • Knowledge of USG Contracting including FARs and DFARs and UK.
  • Knowledge of Government compliance DEFCONs and DEFSTANs.
