AUTOMOTIVE Aftersales Commercial Analyst

This is very much a “dual function AUTOMOTIVE role” in which you will have two major commercial responsibilities:

  1. Make the parts business more profitable
  2. Grow the accessories business

This isn't a traditional aftersales job dealing with warranty claims, technical problems or workshop operations. It's much more commercial and entrepreneurial in which a major part of the role is spare-parts pricing. You will need to be able to look differently at new parts, obsolete parts, fast movers and slow movers rather than applying one blanket pricing approach. The role is commercially significant because relatively small pricing decisions multiplied across a national vehicle parc can have a considerable effect on profitability.

Salary: £50,000 + up to 15% bonus (£7500) + excellent additional benefits and car scheme

Work style: Office based

Location: London

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

DUTIES

  • Looking at cost price + freight/logistics + tariffs + competitor prices + demand + margin thereby helping decide what the appropriate UK selling price should be.
  • Your role is to help build and standardise the commercial operation as the UK business grows.

This isn't a conventional parts job. You're helping build the commercial side of a growing aftersales business. You'll influence how parts are priced and how profitable they are, help set the commercial targets for the business, and identify completely new accessory opportunities for the UK market. You can potentially take an accessory from identifying the initial opportunity, through development and sourcing, all the way to launch, dealer promotion and measuring how successfully it sells. It's a really broad commercial role where you can actually see the financial impact of your decisions.

Accessories:

  • Research the UK market and identify new accessories that British customers might want.
  • Liaise with R&D, procurement and supply chain through samples, product validation.
  • Work with Marketing on campaigns, content and dealer materials, look at accessory penetration and profitability, monitor stock performance and help dealers become better at selling accessories.
