KMT Waterjet is a company belonging to the American group SHAPE Technologies. Our electro-hydraulic high pressure pumps and other advanced accessories for waterjet cutting systems have set the industry standard for over fifty years. From its European headquarters in Bad Nauheim, near Frankfurt, Germany, KMT GmbH offers their products mainly to machine tool manufacturers, and also directly to customers who want to use the advantages of waterjet cutting technology to process their product. As a sales and service company KMT in the EMEA region employs approximately 70 employees across Europe with a total of 9 branches in 6 European countries as well as UAE and India.

In UK we are looking for an:

After Sales & Service Engineer (m/f/d) for High Pressure Waterjet Cutting Systems

Major Duties and Responsibility

  • Service work, to include preventative maintenance, machine inspections and new installations on customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot, fix and report machine failures on site in person and remotely by telephone.
  • Providing professional technical support to KMT customers to minimize downtime, with a proactive approach to maintenance work.
  • Promoting the sales of KMT spare parts and maintenance programs.
  • Supporting the professional image of the KMT technical Service department and KMT genuine products.
  • Be prepared for extensive travel and working away from home when required.
  • Build trustworthy customer relationships through repeated service, sales and courtesy visits.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Technical education in the field of mechanics and/or electronics.
  • Electrical qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Practical knowledge in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering.
  • Customer oriented with a professional & positive attitude.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Familiar with Microsoft office software.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexible in location of work, must be willing to travel and prepared to stay away from home as required.
  • Driving license is an essential requirement.
  • Good command of English language is a must for internal company communication - any additional language skills are a benefit.
