Early Years Lead (Level 3 Qualification in Early Years – Essential)
Location: Merchant Taylors’ Prep, WD3 1LW
Hours: Up to 15 hours per week, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: Up to £14.00 per hour
Contract: Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2026

We’re seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Lead to plan, deliver, and inspire age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and foster early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the youngest children.
- Plan, lead, and deliver creative activities, including:
- Storytelling
- Creative arts & sensory play
- Group games & outdoor adventures
- Support children’s development and wellbeing through engaging experiences.
- Act as a role model in safeguarding, adhering to Health & Safety policies at all times.
- Provide healthy snacks, support toileting and hygiene routines, ensuring every child feels safe, cared for, and included.
- Maintain play spaces by adapting environments for different activities.
- Keep accurate records, including:
- Accident/incident forms
- Observations
- Attendances and registers
- Build positive relationships with parents, schools, and the team.
- Promote early years best practice and nurture a love of learning through play.
- Uphold confidentiality and high child protection standards.

Essential & Preferred Qualifications
- Mandatory: Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Must pass an Enhanced DBS check (exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
- Must provide two references (one from a previous employer and one from a childcare setting, if applicable).
