Elliptic is building AI-powered tools that enable the business to scale faster and with greater confidence. Our operations team is at the centre of that work — designing the backend systems and AI integrations behind Elliptic's agentic transformation. This transformation is all about rethinking existing business processes – from workflows to ticket queues to decisions – and enabling our workforce to take the next great leap forward in productivity.

We're looking for a full-stack Agent Engineer to help us design and build agent fleets, AI integrations, APIs, workflows, UIs and services that make this possible.

The impact you will have:

As Agent Engineer on the Operations team, you will help design and deliver scalable, reliable services that power Elliptic’s internal business systems, focusing on building our agent fleets to automate core business processes.

  • You’ll partner with the Head of Business Transformation and VP of Operations, to turn complex internal processes into intelligent, user-friendly experiences that help teams around the business perform their jobs with greater speed and confidence.
  • Your work will make a tangible and immediate impact on team productivity, and you will work iteratively directly with your users to forge solutions that meet their needs.
  • Working collaboratively across disciplines, you’ll contribute to impactful features and continuously improve quality, reliability, and usability across our internal platforms.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Through this work, you’ll play an essential role in advancing Elliptic’s mission to make crypto markets safer, more transparent, and more efficient.

What you will do:

  • Lead the development of agent fleets to model complex business processes in Langchain.
  • Develop APIs and workflows that integrate AI and LLM frameworks with business systems.
  • Design, optimise, and query data models across relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an agentic platform from concept through to production.
  • Take part in technical design reviews, planning sessions, and code reviews to continuously improve system quality.
  • Contribute to infrastructure and observability practices alongside the Engineering team — you won't own this alone, but you'll be expected to care about how your services run in production.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably including Python.
  • 1 year of experience with LangSmith or other comparable LLM/AI frameworks — this is an essential component of the vision for our agentic platform, and hands-on experience is required.
  • Solid API design skills — you've built and maintained production APIs and know how to integrate with external systems.
  • Cloud experience — you've worked with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS, S3) in a production environment. Experience with helm charts and Kubernetes is a must.
  • Database proficiency — you're comfortable with SQL (Postgres or similar) and have some exposure to NoSQL stores.
  • A structured approach to problem-solving — you think clearly about system design and trade-offs.
  • Strong collaboration skills — you communicate well across engineering, product, and design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Node.js frameworks like NestJS or Express.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Experience with observability platforms like Datadog (metrics, tracing, alerting).
  • Exposure to DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases at scale.
  • Experience with distributed or event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, etc.).
  • Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or compliance — though we're happy to bring you up to speed.

Don't Meet Every Requirement?

If this role excites you but your experience doesn't perfectly match every bullet point, we'd still love to hear from you. We value curiosity, willingness to learn, and diverse perspectives just as much as specific tool experience.

Ensuring that people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences feel welcome at Elliptic is an ongoing priority for us. We believe diverse thinking enables us to solve problems in new ways — benefiting both our team and our customers.
