Sales Agent for Pre-Painted Coil Market
Metpaint Srl, an industrial company specializing in the coating and marketing of pre-painted steel and aluminum coils, is seeking a Sales Agent dedicated to developing the UK market.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and consolidating the client portfolio in the British market, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients.
The role requires a combined commercial and technical approach, with the ability to understand customer needs and propose solutions aligned with product characteristics and applications.
A solid understanding of the industrial market and a strong aptitude for business development are required, as well as the ability to independently manage relationships with clients and corporate stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop the pre-painted coil market in the UK by identifying new clients and business opportunities
- Identify and contact potential clients, distributors, service centers, and industrial end-users
- Present the company’s product portfolio and technical specifications
- Analyze customer needs and collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to identify the most suitable solutions
- Prepare and manage commercial proposals, negotiating sales terms in accordance with company guidelines
- Monitor the progress of negotiations and ensure effective follow-up on business opportunities
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, gathering feedback and identifying new requirements
- Monitor prices, competition, market dynamics, and key industry trends in the UK
- Collaborate with the technical and quality departments to handle any customer inquiries or issues
- Participate in trade fairs, industry events, and business meetings
- Prepare periodic reports on sales activities, opportunities, and market development
- Liaise with Management and the Back Office regarding the management of proposals and sales
- Contribute to achieving assigned sales targets

Qualifications
- Previous experience in B2B sales roles, preferably within the metalworking or engineering sector
- Experience in the UK market and knowledge of its commercial dynamics are highly desirable
- Background in the pre-painted coil, steel, aluminum, or sheet metal processing/fabrication industries (or related sectors) is a plus
- Solid understanding of commercial dynamics and industrial client management
- Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
- Ability to understand and present technical-commercial information
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Willingness to travel within the UK

Work Area
- United Kingdom
- Primarily field-based commercial role, with independent management of clients and prospects
- Travel and visits to clients, prospects, distributors, and business partners
- Some activities may be performed remotely and/or at the company headquarters, depending on organizational needs
Contract and Conditions
The terms of the collaboration will be defined based on experience and the specific hiring/engagement model.
- Type of Collaboration: Multi-principal Sales Agent
- Compensation: Commission-based contract, determined by experience, skills, and the type of collaboration.
- Depending on the engagement model, the following are also provided:
- Commission structure and/or performance-based variable component
- Technical and commercial support from headquarters
- Product and application training
- Support with managing quotations and technical inquiries
