Overview

Caspian One have partnered with some of the world’s largest and leading Global Investment Banks, Fintech’s and Hedge Funds who are building brand new teams in the UK as well as adding to existing front, middle and back-office teams.

We are currently working on live engagements as well as gearing up to deliver high-impact teams over the coming weeks and are looking for experienced AI Engineers, Full Stack Developers and Senior Front End focussed developers ideally with Capital Markets, Front-Office, Financial Services or Investment Banking experience.

These opportunities offer more exposure to cutting-edge technologies and projects within fast-paced environments in Capital Markets. Ideal for professionals seeking impactful work, career progression and high levels of autonomy in flexible working arrangements.

Position Details

  • Location: UK-based (Typically London, Sheffield, Glasgow & Edinburgh)
  • Right To Work: Must be eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship
  • Engagement: 6–12 Month rolling contracts (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI/GenAI solutions for trading, risk management, and analytics within capital markets.
  • Build and integrate Agentic AI workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangSmith, Strands SDK, and Agent Core
  • Collaborate with front, middle and back-office teams to integrate AI-driven models into production systems.
  • Work alongside data engineers and platform engineering teams to enhance overall team performance.
  • Optimise performance and scalability of AI applications in high-frequency environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years in Software, Platform and AI Engineering roles.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong experience in capital markets, front-office systems, or financial services (essential)
  • Proven experience working in enterprise level data or financial data environments.
  • Solid backend development experience in a modern language (e.g., Python, Java, or Node.js).
  • Proven track record of delivering AI solutions in production environments, or demonstratable experience building AI tools inside or outside of work setting.
  • Education: Relevant Software Engineering / Computer Science degree.

  • Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning LLMs, and building RAG-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, pricing models, and risk analytics.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and data governance in regulated environments.
  • Communication: As you are likely to be working in front-office teams, the ability to communicate effectively, efficiently and in a fast-paced environments is crucial.
