Agentic AI / GenAI Consultant | From Prototype to Production.
Location: Manchester | Glasgow | London
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

An established transformation consultancy is growing its AI engineering team. They’re looking for someone who can work with clients to turn promising AI ideas into secure applications that people can use in production.
You’ll be involved from the first conversations and prototypes through to building, testing and deploying solutions. The work spans traditional machine learning, Generative AI and agentic workflows, alongside data scientists, cloud architects, product managers and business consultants.
What you’ll be doing:
- Building full-stack GenAI and agentic applications
- Designing workflows with human review, audit trails, safeguards and evaluation
- Creating useful product features such as streaming responses, citations, review loops and error recovery
- Developing APIs, backend services and frontend components
- Building RAG pipelines, LLM integrations and multi-agent solutions
- Deploying applications on Azure or GCP
- Working with clients to understand their needs and demonstrate the value of a solution
- Contributing to demonstrations, proposals and new AI offerings

Experience we’re looking for:
- Strong Python engineering, with experience building APIs using FastAPI, Django or Flask, plus SQL
- Frontend development with TypeScript or JavaScript and React or Next.js
- Hands-on work with LLM applications, RAG, MCP or model integrations
- Agentic workflows using tools such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents or Google ADK
- Experience taking applications into production with cloud AI services, Docker, CI/CD, automated testing and sound engineering practices

You don’t need every tool on that list. What matters is that you can build AI applications, test them properly and work with clients from the initial idea through to production. Previous consulting experience, or comparable client-facing delivery within a complex organisation, is important.
