About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Planday. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of research and production, translating complex, ambiguous challenges into tangible, shipped features that enhance our platform’s capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy machine learning and agentic systems that improve the platform’s functionality and user experience. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, product teams, and customers, you will identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions that drive operational efficiency and transparency for our users. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a strong background in machine learning, data science, or related fields, with proven experience in deploying models in production environments. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline is required; a Ph.D. is a plus. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, is essential. Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for deploying ML models is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities, are necessary for translating complex technical concepts into practical solutions. The ideal candidate should be proactive, innovative, and eager to work at the forefront of AI technology within a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and agentic systems to solve complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Deploy and monitor ML models in production environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and robustness.
- Conduct research to stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, integrating new techniques into the platform.
- Optimize and fine-tune models for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to model development, deployment processes, and system architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and reliability of deployed models.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing system performance and implementing enhancements.
- Promote best practices in data handling, model development, and deployment to ensure ethical and responsible AI usage.
