Role- Agentic Commerce Senior Manager

Location- London
Level- Senior Manager

Accenture Song accelerates growth and value for our clients by combining creativity, technology, and data-driven intelligence. Within Song, our Agentic Commerce practice helps organisations design, build, and scale modern digital commerce ecosystems — embedding Generative AI and Agentic AI into commerce to enable real-time personalisation, autonomous merchandising, and intelligent customer engagement at scale.

As customer journeys evolve beyond traditional websites and apps toward AI-mediated discovery, conversational interfaces, and intelligent agents, Consumer Goods and Retail clients face a structural reset — of how products are found, how brands maintain relevance, and how transactions are completed. The organisations that move first to become AI-ready will shape how agents learn, recommend, and transact on behalf of consumers.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the delivery and growth of agentic commerce transformation programmes for Consumer Goods and Retail clients. This role sits at the intersection of industry expertise, digital commerce strategy, and emerging AI capability — and is responsible for both translating strategic vision into actionable programmes and for building the client relationships and commercial pipeline that sustain and grow our practice.

You bring deep experience in Consumer Goods and / or Retail, a strong track record of leading complex digital transformation programmes, and the commercial instincts to identify, shape, and close new opportunities. You are equally at home building a relationship with a CMO, shaping a compelling proposal, and overseeing delivery with a multi-disciplinary team — and you hold yourself accountable for both the quality of what we deliver and the growth of the accounts you lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of major agentic commerce and digital transformation programmes for Consumer Goods and Retail clients — owning the end-to-end programme across strategy, architecture, and delivery workstreams, and holding accountability for outcomes, pace, and client satisfaction
  • Serving as the senior client relationship owner on key accounts — building deep, trusted relationships with C-suite and senior stakeholders across marketing, commerce, technology, and commercial functions, and maintaining visibility and influence across the account between engagements
  • Identifying, shaping, and closing new commercial opportunities — proactively spotting where Accenture Song can add value, developing compelling propositions in response to client challenges, and leading the commercial process from opportunity qualification through to contract
  • Contributing to the growth of the Consumer Goods and Retail portfolio — working with account and practice leadership to develop account plans, build pipeline, and bring the right combination of Song capabilities to bear on client priorities
  • Translating strategic client objectives into executable programme structures, delivery roadmaps, and technology architectures — bridging the gap between business ambition and what can realistically be built and deployed
  • Leading the design and implementation of agentic commerce strategies for CGS and Retail clients — including how products are structured, surfaced, and transacted across AI-mediated discovery channels, conversational interfaces, LLM-powered platforms, and partner ecosystems
  • Defining how clients' product, pricing, availability, and content data must be architected to be machine-readable and AI-ready — ensuring brands remain visible and accurately represented as LLMs become primary drivers of product discovery and recommendation
  • Overseeing platform and ecosystem strategy — including how commerce platforms connect with partner ecosystems, marketplaces, retail media networks, and agentic AI environments — and leading the integration approaches that make this scalable
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams across strategy, technology, experience, and analytics — creating clarity of role and accountability, and building the conditions for high performance across complex, multi-workstream programmes
  • Driving the evolution of Accenture Song's Consumer Goods and Retail agentic commerce capability — including shaping points of view, contributing to client-ready assets and proposals, and representing Accenture's perspective externally with clients and at industry forums
  • Growing and developing the talent in your team — providing coaching, creating stretch opportunities, and modelling the consulting craft and commercial judgement that the practice needs to scale

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Required Experience

  • ~10 years of professional experience in consulting, digital strategy, or commerce — with a substantial portion focused on Consumer Goods and / or Retail clients
  • Deep understanding of how Consumer Goods and Retail businesses operate — including commercial structures, trade relationships, digital shelf dynamics, retail media, D2C, and the evolving role of AI in reshaping these models
  • Proven track record of originating and converting commercial opportunities in a consulting or professional services environment — including shaping propositions, leading pitches, and negotiating and closing engagements
  • Experience managing and growing senior client relationships — able to build long-term trust, maintain influence across complex stakeholder environments, and act as a credible, commercially astute partner to C-suite executives
  • Strong track record of leading complex, multi-workstream digital transformation programmes at senior client level — from shaping the approach through to delivery and value realisation
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce strategy and platforms — including how commerce ecosystems connect with search, content, data, and customer technology to drive discovery, conversion, and loyalty
  • Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams across strategy, technology, and experience disciplines in a consulting or agency environment
  • Demonstrable point of view on agentic commerce and AI — through programme delivery, thought leadership, or strategic advisory work — and a clear sense of what the shift means specifically for Consumer Goods and Retail brands
  • Excellent communication skills — able to build trust with senior client leaders, present complex ideas with clarity, and represent Accenture Song's position in high-stakes commercial and delivery conversations

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience designing or overseeing AI-ready data and content architectures — including structured product data, schema frameworks, machine-readable content, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) environments — as part of a commerce or digital transformation programme
  • Familiarity with the agentic commerce technology landscape — including GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), AI-native search, agent communication protocols, LLM-powered discovery platforms, and how frontier model companies (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic) are building to own commerce transactions
  • Experience with commerce platform architecture and ecosystem integrations — including API-led design, microservices, and connections across OMS, PIM, CDP, retail media, and partner platforms
  • Exposure to the emerging standards and infrastructure for agentic commerce — including how brands expose product endpoints, manage delegated credentials, and support real-time decisioning for AI agents
  • Experience contributing to practice development, market-facing thought leadership, or commercial propositions in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Familiarity with the broader Accenture Song capability set — including experience, marketing, data and technology — and how to bring these together in integrated client engagements
