Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer (Associate Director) – Architect

Employment type: Permanent

Location: London/Kubrick HQ (QVS). Client engagements predominantly London & Southeast. (May require client site visits)

Who we are:

Kubrick is an award-winning consultancy that helps organisations design, build and scale data and AI solutions that deliver lasting impact.

We work with organisations across industries including financial services, healthcare, retail, energy, aviation, and the public sector, and partner with leading technology providers such as Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks, and Collibra. Our status as a Gold Databricks Partner and an Elite Snowflake AI Data Cloud Services Partner means our people work at the cutting edge of these platforms, opening doors to specialist projects, accreditations, and career opportunities you won't find everywhere.

What sets us apart is how we build capabilities and careers. Through continuous learning, real world experience, and a collaborative culture, we help our people develop the skills, confidence, and experience to build rewarding careers.

Building an inclusive industry matters to us as much as building great data platforms. We're proud long-standing partners of Women in Data, a not for profit dedicated to helping more women succeed in data and AI, recognised in 2026 with a shortlisting for their Brand Partner of the Year award. Our work in this space has also been recognised by SheCanCode and Women in Tech.

The Role:

As an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer (Agentic FDE) at Kubrick, you'll work directly with customers to identify where agentic AI can create genuine business value - then design it, build it, deploy it and make it work in the real world.

The role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, solution architecture, consulting and product thinking, taking ideas from an initial customer conversation all the way through to production. You'll do it alongside some of the best technology and specialist capability in the market, including Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure, Databricks and Snowflake.

The role requires someone who can move comfortably between a customer boardroom, a whiteboard architecture session and a development environment.

Your work will include:

  • Working with customers to uncover high-value opportunities for agentic AI, from intelligent automation and knowledge work to decision support and complex operational workflows
  • Turning ambiguous business problems into practical, measurable AI solutions
  • Designing agentic architectures covering agents, tools, models, data, orchestration, human oversight and evaluation
  • Rapidly prototyping and iterating solutions with real users
  • Building and deploying production-grade agentic AI solutions
  • Integrating agents with enterprise data, APIs, applications, workflows and identity systems
  • Ensuring solutions are secure, governed, observable, reliable and cost-effective
  • Establishing evaluation, testing and monitoring approaches so customers can understand how their AI is performing
  • Leading technical workshops and communicating complex ideas to everyone from engineers to senior executives
  • Supporting pre-sales - shaping opportunities, developing technical propositions, contributing to demos and helping customers understand what's possible
  • Creating reusable patterns and accelerators that make the next AI solution faster and better

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
