What you will be doing
When you join the Airbus Global Graduate Programme in Finance, the 3-year development scheme will give you responsibility early on, to influence and guide decision making throughout the company, with the aim of becoming our leaders of the future.
The scheme consists of six placements, to guide your growth into the role within the finance function and can expect to be involved in the following:
- Rotate between different placements throughout our global business, gaining experiences as a business partner and in technical financial roles;
- Develop your professional skills, build your networks locally and internationally, and gain a unique perspective on the world of Airbus;
- Study towards CIMA, in order to become a fully qualified Chartered Management Accountant by the end of the graduate scheme;
- Be part of a supportive and inclusive working environment which also offers opportunities to get involved in a variety of projects across the business to drive your personal development and make a difference;

Your development journey will include a mixture of both UK and transnational placements. The transnational experience will start from your second year.
Below is an example of the structure of the scheme:
Year 1 - Cost Accounting (Filton, Bristol) / Planning & Reporting Controlling (Broughton, Chester)
Year 2 – Investor Relations (Toulouse) / A350 Programme Controlling (Filton, Bristol)
Year 3 – Customer Services Controlling (Toulouse) / A320 Production Controlling (Broughton, Chester)
At the end of the three-year development programme you will have undertaken the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) professional qualification, covered a variety of Financial Controlling and Accounting roles, allowing you to obtain a wide breadth of knowledge and an understanding of how a multinational, corporate organisation works.
You will also have experienced working within a number of transnational teams, giving you exposure to different ways of working and an appreciation of different cultures.
The Finance Graduate Scheme has been operating for over 20 years, with many management roles filled by former graduates. You will join a team of several like-minded Finance graduates at different stages of their careers and development journey.
What we are looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:
- A 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in an appropriate degree and a desire to gain a CIMA membership status;
- Demonstrate a strong ambition and commitment for a career in Finance;
- Minimum of 1 year management accounting related work experience required (i.e., finance within industry or controlling internships/placements);
- Internationally mobile (with home site within UK) - ability to move between Airbus’ European sites every 6 months throughout the 3-year graduate programme (Visa support provided);
- Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English);
- A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation;
- The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
