Beyond your daily responsibilities and this comprehensive schedule of training, you'll join your global graduate community annually for an in-person dedicated development week. This is your chance to connect with your peers, learn directly from our seasoned leaders, and gain insights from the best in the industry.

Throughout the programme, you will be developed into an established and valuable team member from day 1. You'll sharpen your skills in an area strategically important to Airbus, gaining a deep understanding of our business - its opportunities, challenges, and needs. Most importantly, you'll have learned more about yourself and what makes you truly great. You will have demonstrated your capability and readiness to take on future leadership challenges within Airbus.

What you will be doing

You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of AGGP2027 - Graduate AI Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Supporting the unification of fragmented processes, methods, tools, and data across Airbus's Domains to help create a cohesive Digital Airframe team at the forefront of digitalization.
  • Assisting in the integration of physical models with data-driven AI approaches, learning to utilize Machine Learning and Symbolic AI (e.g., Computer Vision, Surrogate Modeling, Hybrid Modeling).
  • Learning to develop and implement custom full-stack software solutions using Python, AWS, or GCP in alignment with business requirements.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of physical engineering principles (such as structures, systems, materials, or simulation) to effectively bridge data science with physical airframe engineering domains.
  • Engaging in rotational placements, which may include time with traditional engineering disciplines (like structure design and Computer-Aided Engineering) or AI Governance teams to build a comprehensive, cross-functional skillset.
  • Engaging in diverse rotational placements to build a cross-functional skillset, with potential assignments including the Wing Stress Design team, Research and Technology (RnT) & physical test environments setting to connect your digital AI work with physical design.

At the end of the two-year development programme, you will have developed into the position of AGGP2027 - Graduate AI Engineer.

What we are looking for

To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:

  • A degree level or equivalent within Computer Science, Material, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or Physical Engineering.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in our business language (English).
  • Collaborates well within a team, focused on driving future innovation.
  • The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • A strong interest and proficiency with programming (e.g., Python, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow) as well as an eagerness to learn about Agile software development and cloud technologies.
