About the Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity where your skills and ideas can make a real impact? At Grundon Sand & Gravel, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our aggregates team based in Kennetholme on a part-time basis.
We proudly produce and source high-quality aggregates in a responsible and sustainable way. Your contributions will make a real difference as we work towards our vision to create lasting value as we manage our finite resources.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our commitment to leaving a better planet for future generations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sampling and testing materials to the relevant British Standards
- Producing grading certificates
- Monitoring quality to ensure compliance with specification requirements
- Analysing testing data and trends to identify potential quality issues at an early stage
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Being responsible for your own safety, the safety of colleagues, and members of the public
- Providing weighbridge cover when required
- Delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- Flexibility to travel to other sites is essential
- Experience operating mobile plant during busy periods would be advantageous

Requirements
Hours: Monday- Tuesday 8:00am-16:30pm
Salary: Competitive
About You
- Full UK driving licence required
- NVQ Level 2 in Mobile Plant Operations and experience operating mobile plant is desirable, however full training will be provided
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word in an office environment
- Customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering excellent service
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, professional approach
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Flexible team player, willing to learn new skills, undertake training, travel between sites, and work additional hours when required
