We are looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst to join our growing team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity to register your interest in future Agile Business Analyst positions where you could play a key role in delivering digital transformation initiatives, supporting the development of cloud-based solutions and driving process improvements across our business. About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Agile Business Analyst roles within a dynamic technology-focused business. Roles of this type may sit within cross-functional delivery teams working on modern cloud platforms, microservices architectures and digital initiatives. You could be involved in gathering business requirements, mapping processes, managing stakeholder expectations and translating business needs into technical specifications that guide development teams. The work could span requirements analysis, data quality assessment and process improvement across Azure,.NET and distributed systems environments.
Typical Role Overview
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester, England — hybrid
Type: Contract
Full-time
Rate: £350–450 per day
Key focus: Requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management and systems analysis
What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders across the organisation
- Mapping current and future business processes using BPMN and UML methodologies
- Analysing existing systems and identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Working collaboratively with development teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Assessing data requirements and ensuring data quality across initiatives
- Engaging stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and manage expectations
- Supporting agile delivery teams in sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives
- Producing clear documentation, wireframes and specifications to guide implementation
- Identifying risks and recommending solutions to optimise delivery outcomes

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Agile Business Analyst, ideally in technology or financial services
- Strong background in requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder management
- Experience with systems analysis and data requirements gathering
- Working knowledge of modern technology stacks, including cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), microservices, APIs, CI/CD and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with at least one backend framework (.NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python)
- Understanding of distributed systems, SQL databases and data pipeline concepts
- Experience with BPMN and UML modelling
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE)
- Experience with Power BI or analytics tools
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP or infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Agile or Scrum certifications
- Understanding of financial analysis or operational processes
