This position is offered on a permanent basis, based in Gourock with hybrid working.
We’re looking for an experienced Agile Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of key digital and technology solutions that support our operational environment and high-profile customer-facing brand.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic software platforms, working across internal teams and trusted external partners at a time of significant change, investment and transformation across CalMac. With the award of the CHFS3 contract for the next 10 years, we are entering an exciting new chapter within our Technology Team.
The Agile Project Manager Role
As Agile Project Manager, you’ll act as the central point of coordination between business stakeholders, delivery partners, and internal IT teams. You’ll champion Agile practices, ensure high-quality delivery, and drive continuous improvement, ensuring our products remain stable, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.
You’ll lead end-to-end delivery across the product lifecycle, from discovery through to release, supporting incremental value delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality, timelines, and scope.

About You
As the key interface between stakeholders and delivery teams, we are a customer-focused professional who delivers high-quality outcomes, thrives in complexity, and brings energy, collaboration, and a passion for continuous improvement.
You Will Also Need To Have
- Proven experience in Agile project management within digital, technology, consultancy, or client-side environments with strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Experience delivering complex software or platform projects (ideally within booking, ticketing, eCommerce, or digital applications) and of managing multiple stakeholders and third-party vendors
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence) and modern delivery practices (DevOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms)
- Demonstrable experience of working in data-driven environments where insights inform prioritisation
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills as well as strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels including Executive level.
