Agile Coach – Global Commercial Cards Re-platforming
📍 Location: London – Hybrid
🏢 Onsite: 2–3 days per week
📅 Contract: 6 months
🚀 Start: ASAP
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to support a major Global Commercial Cards Re-platforming Programme within a leading global financial services organisation.
This is a high-profile transformation programme focused on migrating an existing commercial card proposition onto a new processing platform.
You will work across multiple delivery teams to establish and embed effective Agile ways of working, improve delivery predictability and governance, and support the creation of a new sub-value stream operating model.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can operate effectively within a large, complex and regulated environment, influencing senior business and technology stakeholders while delivering practical and measurable improvements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coach delivery teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and senior stakeholders on Agile best practices.
- Deliver practical Agile coaching, training and workshops to improve team maturity.
- Establish effective Agile ceremonies, governance and continuous improvement practices.
- Develop Agile playbooks, templates and frameworks that can be adopted across multiple teams.
- Support the creation and implementation of a new sub-value stream, including ownership, governance, delivery processes and operating rhythms.
- Lead and facilitate PI Planning and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Drive backlog readiness, capacity planning, dependency management and risk management.
- Improve planning, execution and overall delivery predictability.
- Introduce meaningful Agile metrics, reporting and performance measures.
- Provide hands-on Jira coaching and configuration support, improving dashboards, workflows, reporting and backlog management.
- Work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to drive adoption of new ways of working.

What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Delivery Coach, Enterprise Agile Coach or similar within a large-scale transformation programme.
- Experience coaching multiple delivery teams and senior stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and scaled Agile approaches.
- Experience establishing or improving value streams, delivery operating models or Agile transformations.
- Strong practical experience facilitating PI Planning and QBRs.
- Excellent Jira administration, configuration, dashboard and reporting expertise.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience managing resistance to change and successfully embedding new ways of working.
- A pragmatic approach to Agile – able to balance Agile principles with the realities of working within a complex enterprise environment.

Highly Desirable
- Experience within banking, payments, cards or wider financial services would be particularly valuable, alongside exposure to large enterprise transformation programmes.
- Certifications such as SAFe, ICAgile, Scrum or Kanban would be advantageous, as would experience with Lean, DevOps, OKRs and outcome-based delivery frameworks.
What Success Looks Like
Over the initial 3–6 months, you'll be expected to help establish a functioning sub-value stream operating model, embed effective PI Planning and QBR cadences, improve Agile maturity and team effectiveness, increase delivery transparency and predictability, and standardise Jira usage and reporting across teams.
